Abstract

The study is an attempt to offer an ergonomic concept design of the Lourdes School Quezon City High School Auditorium. It explores the present condition of the auditorium by evaluating it according to relevant ergonomic principles, international standards for auditoriums and to the needs of the institution and its stakeholders – students. A total of two hundred fifty-four (254) high school students have been involved in the study by accomplishing end-users’ feedback questionnaires. Results show that stakeholders’ experience dissatisfaction primarily with regard to seating. There has also been significant number of concerns raised about the auditorium’s safety features. These findings have been appropriately integrated into the proposed concept design.
