The purpose of the research is to determine whether the pioneer senior high school graduates of Lourdes School Quezon City were able or not able to pursue their desired college program and university, identify whether or not their coping mechanisms reflect the practices both positive and negative acquired from their alma mater, and gather further
the respondent’s feedback and insights. Hence, qualitative and quantitative methods were used, respectively, thematic analysis and descriptive statistics for its research design. The gathered data from the survey were from the sixty five senior high school graduates of Lourdes School Quezon City belonging to the pioneer batch. Subsequently, the
thematic analysis was composed of nine random interviews from the said batch.
Based on the data gathered, positive feedback was significantly noticeable from the responses particularly in all aspects or categories explored such as coping mechanisms, LSQC-SHS program, LSQC’s core values formation, and 21st century learning skills. The research concluded that the LSQC’s senior high school program and current practices as well as the school’s values formation as a whole were perceived effective and more than satisfactory in preparing the students towards college. The school has successfully afforded its students the needed experience to help them adjust during the transition stage in college. Lastly, some areas of improvement were recommended based on the respondent’s experiences that would be contributory for both the school and program improvement.
