Community Hazard Mapping is an essential tool to help mitigate the effects of hazards and risks and to improve the disaster readiness engagement of the residents of Barangay Paang Bundok, however, their disaster readiness plan and map is not updated for mitigation of upcoming disasters. This research aims to enhance their capacity in disaster risk management through an earthquake hazard map by gathering information with PHIVOLCS Data and participatory mapping. Qualitative Action research design along with FGD was used to gather data and Quantum Geographic information System (QGIS) to create the map. The results of FGD show that (1) the residents know little of the hazards and risks, critical facilities and open spaces in their barangay, (2) the map was updated with the aforementioned map keys, and (3) the evacuation centers of the barangay were identified with the help of the residents. This paper recommends the Barangay to adapt the new map and provide seminars for the knowledge and safety of residents.
